The Safe Choice

In contrast to the challenges associated with other battery technologies, ZPower silver-zinc cells offer an inherently safe, water-based chemistry that will not vent with flame. These clean and safe batteries are mercury-free. Multiple battery sizes have passed UL2054 and IEC62133 safety testing at third party certified test labs. The silver-zinc chemistry is not subject to proposed FAA regulations aimed at restricting how lithium-ion batteries are shipped on aircraft.

In recent years, the instability of lithium-ion battery technology has forced numerous product recalls by major electronics companies.  These recalls have resulted in the return of over 10 million lithium-ion batteries.

ZPower batteries are free from FAA air travel restrictions because they contain no lithium-ion.
